Sara Minges is the Founder and CEO of Playful Awareness. She's a 2019 Pitch KC Best Poet Nominee, Award Winning National Speaker, 2018 Pathway to Hope Founder's Award Nominee and 2017 Lady Gaga's Born This Way Foundation "Kindness in KC" event panelist.
Sara also has 25 years experience living in a blended family. She's watched both of her parents survive a contentious divorce, remarry and become stepparents to their second spouse's children. She's been a younger biological sibling of 2, a younger and older stepsister to four stepbrothers
a stepsister-in-law and a step-aunt.
Sara's life experience makes her great at understanding complex step-relationships and navigating and finding solutions to complex issues relating to boundaries, parenting time, listening to and validating your kids and step-kids experiences.
Sara has a passion for working with divorcing/separated families in the areas of co-parenting, setting boundaries and successful blended family transitions. She also specializes in working with kids, teens and adults living with ADD, including helping parents understand their ADD children.
Sara likes to "keep it real", offering fun, friendly, practical solutions to her clients problems. Her approach uses validation, empowerment, skills training and listening to the wants and needs of each member of the family.
