DBT Skills Coaching

 

DBT stands for Dialectical Behavior Therapy.  DBT therapy involves individual therapy, weekly skills training (individual or group setting) and coaching  between sessions.  

In 2018, Playful Awareness stopped providing therapy services, choosing to focus on teaching DBT coping skills (mindfulness, emotion regulation, relationship and meaning making skills), coaching between sessions, and providing consultation services.  

DBT coaching and skills training can help with the following issues:

  • ADHD

  • mood swings

  • irritability

  • sleep

  • setting personal boundaries

  • emotional eating
